Spyware causes your computer to run slow or unstable. It can cause other programs not to function properly, and worst of all, they could be spying on your browsing habits. We suggest that you run either Spybot or Ad-Aware at least once a week.

Ad-aware detects and removes spyware, adware, trojans, hijackers, dialers, malware, keyloggers, etc. The Standard Edition is free for non-commercial use only.

The beta version of Microsoft Antispyware for Windows 2000 and XP is currently available from Microsoft free of charge, subject to their verifying that your computer is running a legitimate version of XP.
