Cleaning up the problems AVG Free found



If you see this message, don't panic. You are much better off now that you know, than you were beforehand. After the scan is complete it will give you a result screen. Typically it will be a report of how many infected files were found, and what was done with them.



This screen will give you the results of AVG's efforts to clean your computer. After this informational screen, press OK to continue. Which will then be followed by a window that will tell in more detail what was done specificically with the virus' found.



As long as there are zero file erros while healing, then you are now clean. Next press Close, and then it will be followed by a screen with details available for each specific occurance of a virus on your system. Here you can get more details on what was found, and what was done to correct the problem. Once you have viewed anything of personal interest press Close again.



Congratulations, you are now virus free. Now AVG will attempt to have you register the product if this is the first time you have run the scan.



I would strongly suggest you register, after all you are using their product for free. To do so simply click the Register AVG Free Button. After you are done registering you will return to the same window. Upon doing so, click next to continue.

You will then see the final screen to show that all steps in AVG FREE Setup is complete. You are now protected. Congratulations. Press Continue, and enjoy your computer and the peace of mind that running a virus protection program can bring.
